چکیده
The advent of a next linear e e collider and back-scatterd laser beams will allow the study of a vast array of high energy processes of the Standard Model through the fusion of real and virtual photons and other gauge bosons. As examples, I discuss virtual photon scattering ! X in the region dominated by BFKL hard Pomeron exchange and report the predicted cross sections at present and future e e colliders. I also discuss exclusive reactions in QCD as a measure of hadron distribution amplitudes and a new method for measuring the anomalous magnetic and quadrupole moments of the W and Z gauge bosons to high precision in polarized electron-photon

SLAC-PUB-2102 March 1978 (T/E) PRODUCTION OF LARGE TRANSVERSE MOMENTUM JETS* IN PHOTON-PHOTON COLLISIONS
We predict a new source of jet structure in e+ecolliding beam experiments arising from photon-photon collisions. These jets are produced with a sizeable fraction of the total observable hadronic rate and have unmistakable signatures. Observations of these jets would provide important tests of the contributions of three classes of hard scattering mechanisms, distinguishable by their topological ...
متن کاملSLAC-PUB-3121 May 1983 (T/E) JET PRODUCTION AND HIGH PT PHENOMENA IN PHOTON-PHOTON REACTIONS*
The status of experimental investigations of high pT phenomena and jet production in photon-photon collisions is reviewed. Taking the challenging questions on hard scattering processes in 77 reactions as a guide, the experimental approach to these questions is summarized. Results from the PETRA experiments CELLO, JADE, PLUTO, and TASS0 are presented including preliminary results on the Q2-depen...
